What provisions apply where an office holder has to relocate to take up an appointment?

The Tribunal has issued Geographic Relocation Guidelines that apply to Full-time Office Holders who accept an appointment to an office in a geographic locaility different to their residential location.  These are available on the Full-Time Office page of the Tribunal website.

The "Departmental Secretaries Classification Structure and Terms and Conditions Determination" sets out provisions that apply where a Secretary relocates to Canberra.  For information about PEO relocation provisions refer to the "Principal Executive Office - Classification Structure and Terms and Conditions Determination".

What taxation is payable on loss of office compensation?
The Tribunal has no role in resolving taxation obligations. Questions about taxation should be directed to the Australian Taxation Office.
